MA wilts against Terra Nova
Original post made by Linda Lange on May 4, 2011
Good news for the Bears: not a single batter struck out for the first time this season and there were some sparkling defensive plays: Casey Eason at short stop went deep in the hole making a superb leaping throw to third to mow down Terra Novas lead runner at third base, Chace Warren made a running catch in foul territory to end another potential scoring opportunity, while Nick Lange made a play sliding to his knees and throwing to first on a bunt and then took a toss to first from Dylan Cook on a textbook "first baseman fields the ball tossing to the pitcher in flight from the mound to first" in consecutive plays in the 5th. For the second consecutive start, Nick Lange picked off the first runner to reach base.
