Opening Reception on Friday, April 8 for Jody Alexander Exhibition at CSMA

The Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center in Mountain View presents Sedimentals, an exhibition of works by Jody Alexander, in CSMA’s Mohr Gallery from April 8-May 31, with an opening reception and artist talk on Friday, April 8-May 31, 6-8 pm. The exhibition will feature 14 sculpture installations from the Sedimentals series, part of a larger project entitled Preparing for Evanescence.

Jody Alexander is an artist, bookbinder, papermaker, librarian and teacher who lives and works in Santa Cruz, California. Her work has been widely exhibited in the U.S. and abroad, and is held in selected private, university and museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Alexander teaches book arts at Foothill College and San Francisco Center for the Book. She has also taught at the Community School of Music and Arts, University of CA, Santa Cruz, and other schools.

CSMA’s Mohr Gallery is located at Finn Center, 230 San Antonio Circle, Mountain View, and is open Mon-Fri, 9 am-7 pm and Sat, 9 am-3 pm. The Fri, April 8 exhibition opening reception and artist talk is free and open to the public. Info: see www.arts4all.org or call 650-917-6800, ext. 306.
