Woodside-Carlmont Robotics Team in Local Competition

Original post made by Karen Rago on Mar 16, 2007

The Woodside Carlmont High Schools Robotic Team won the "Delphi Driving Tomorrow's Technology Award" at the Davis Regional Competition last year. The team was eligible to submit an entry into the FIRST Robotics book to be published this year. We just got word that our robot is one of only 30 designs nationally included in the book.

The team is competing in the Silicon Valley Regional FIRST competition this weekend, Friday through Sunday, at the San Jose University Event Center. As of today, Friday, the team is in First place.

Here is a recorded 2-minute news story on NBC 11 at ~6:25 this evening, Friday March 16th, on Woodside-Carlmont High Scholl Team 100 and the 2007 FIRST Robotics Silicon Valley Regional.

Clearly, our team and robot are doing a fantastic job this year, and this news story is a fine testament to that fact.

I've posted Flash and iPod-compatible MPEG-4 versions of the NBC 11 news video for you to view on my Web server:
