Menlo-Atherton Boys Varsity Tennis wins third straight

The Menlo-Atherton Boys Tennis Team remains undefeated at 3-0 with a 5-2 win over host Burlingame. Led by MA's #1 Alec Haley who defeated Burlingame's Ronson by a score of 6-1, 6-1, the Bears rolled to victory with Alden Mitchell winning at #2 singles 6-4, 6-0 and all three doubles teams winning in straight sets. M-A is now 3-0 with their next match against Carlmont at M-A on 3/11/10. Match play starts at 3:30.

Singles - Haley (MA) d. Roston, 6-1, 6-1; Mitchell (MA) d. Mendelson, 6-4, 6-0; Verkhovski (B) d. Sarwal, 2-6, 6-4, 10-2; Chadwell (B) d. Oliver, 6-1, 6-2.

Doubles -- Brown-Giordano (MA) d. Borden-Mok, 6-1, 6-2; J. Perkins-C. Perkins (MA) d. Orwin-Nolan, 6-1, 6-2; Menninger-Shah (MA) d. Schubiner-Tsu, 6-1, 6-3.
