Pleasure for the Palate at Red Lotus
The Local Dish, posted by Renee M., a resident of the Portola Valley: Ladera neighborhood, on Jan 16, 2007 at 10:29 am

My family and I enjoyed a most delicious dinner at Red Lotus in the Ladera Shopping Center. The restaurant features the cuisine of Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and India. The dishes we chose were expertly prepared and artfully presented. The food is similar in style to Straits in Palo Alto and San Francisco, but surpasses it in quality. My somewhat fussy tween declared the chicken satay the best he ever tasted. My request for a mild heat to my tamarind prawn curry was fulfilled graciously. The menu is innovative in its use of exotic spices and presents interesting twists on classic dishes. The mango cream pie for dessert was devine and complemented the cuisine nicely. Give Red Lotus a try for a unique dining experience.

I too enjoy the service and food at this small local restaurant - its worth visiting from Menlo Park or Palo Alto if you want to venture beyond 280!
