Portola Valley postcard: Is there a message between the lines?

Did Town Hall in Portola Valley inadvertently send a signal of support for the utility user tax? The 4.5 percent tax brings in 10 percent of the town's revenues and is up for renewal in a town-wide election in November.

I think the town behaved appropriately by bringing the facts to everyone's attention. It's a real stretch to criticize our town's staff. Instead, let's thank them for opening our eyes to the situation.
