Speed limit lowered on Woodside Road at I-280

The death of a Menlo Park schoolteacher has prompted a lower speed limit on westbound Woodside Road at the intersection with Interstate 280. Michelle Mazzei, an Oak Knoll School teacher, was struck by a car in October 2005 while riding her bike on Woodside Road.

What Woodside really needs is a stop light at the corner of Woodside Road and Canada Road. The current intersection is chaos. Lots of broken auto glass on all corners of the intersection tells you what goes on there.

Good luck with that. Stoplights would ruin the rural ambience that Woodside works so hard to cultivate.
