Trustees of the Las Lomitas School District say the district needs a parcel tax increase of $200 a year to avoid program cuts. But a recent survey in the district shows voters won't provide the two-thirds approval necessary for any increase above $98 a year.
The current annual tax per parcel is $196.
On Wednesday, November 15, the school board meets at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the issue and perhaps make a decision about putting a parcel tax measure on the ballot next March.
