Who will return the pool to us!
Menlo Park Elections, posted by Lapswimmer, a resident of the Menlo Park: South of Seminary/Vintage Oaks neighborhood, on Nov 2, 2006 at 5:33 pm

From the TakeBackMenloPark.Org website --

"Reopen the Burgess Pool Operations Contract with a goal of collecting rent from the private operator ("Team Sheeper") and/or reducing the excessive “country club”-type users fees currently being charged city residents (including an outrageous fee charged just to watch your kids swim!)"

All of my candidates have deserted me. I just want to swim laps -- I shouldn't need to be part of Team Shepherd and pay huge fees -- who will return the pool to us!

Note that Take Back Menlo Park does not represent any candidate. All six candidates have said that they support Tim Sheeper and will honor the contract.

It may be possible to reduce fees, as Sheeper is arguably violating the terms of the contract with his country club charges, but there is nothing in the contract that would require Sheeper to pay rent.
