On the same Atherton Council agenda that has employee furloughs, increases the retirement age by seven years, reduces medical benefits and the town's retirement contribution; is a $6,000.00 budget request by Mayor Widmer to host a party at the end of council member McKeithen's term of office.

Go to the meeting and use the public comment period before the Consent Calendar and simply reuest that this item be taken off the Consent Calendar. And then use the public comment period before this item is voted on to tell the council that this is a VERY bad idea.
