Free Dental Appointments Available for Kids
Schools & Kids, posted by Beverly Thames, a resident of the Menlo Park: Belle Haven neighborhood, on Jan 26, 2007 at 9:21 am

Several San Mateo County dentists have openings for free dental services to children ages 1 to 18 years on Give Kids a Smile Day, February 2, 2007. This is a one day only event, and space is limited. Call the Children's Health Initiative at (650) 573-3595 to schedule an appointment.

Last year more than 39,000 dental team members nationwide participated in Give Kids A Smile Day, a program to provide care and raise awareness of the importance of dental care for low-income children. In San Mateo County, 20 dentists and staff provided dental exams and treatment to approximately 92 children from 1 to 18 years of age. The families also received assistance with health insurance enrollment.

The Children's Health Initiative ensures that all children ages 0 through 18 years in San Mateo County have access to comprehensive health insurance coverage. To learn about health insurance enrollment for children, please call Children's Health Initiative at (650) 573-3595 or visit Web Link.
