Thanks For Quick Removal of Campaign Signs!
Menlo Park Elections, posted by ElectionWatcher, a resident of the Menlo Park: Sharon Heights neighborhood, on Nov 8, 2006 at 10:31 pm

Many thanks to whoever it was that has already removed the numerous campaign signs from both sides that were posted around the city. After this bitter campaign, it is good to remove those signs to prevent people from being "revved up" again at seeing them.

In that vein, I would like to suggest to those at The Alamanac that this "Menlo Park Elections" posting category be closed down as well ASAP. It's time to move on. For lingering issues (like the still-to-be-decided Derry Project), other threads can be started under the general "Menlo Park" category of this Forum.

There are still hundreds and hundreds of late votes that haven't been counted. Although it's unlikely they will change the outcome, it's still too early to close the book on this one.

By your logic, the Republicans still have a shot at Congress!

Less than .5% separates the 3rd and 4th place candidates, and about 10% of the votes have not been counted. Anything could happen, which is not to say it will.

Well then you'd better tell the Almanac and the PA Daily to retract their published news stories!

Newspapers are in the news business. They'd probably rather have the election results flipflop because that will give them new news. Otherwise, they have to keep recycling the old news, and that's no fun.
