The Menlo Park City Council sits down on Tuesday, July 26, to debate the finer points of police salaries and installing paid parking meters in downtown plazas 1 and 5, among other items.

Also on the agenda: Allocating $22,500 for a recruitment firm to find a replacement for interim City Manager Glen Rojas, who retired July 15 but remains on as a contractor for up to six months.

The council will also revisit its contract with Capital Advocates, a high-speed rail lobbying company; affordable housing on Hamilton Avenue; and its operating budget.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the Civic Center at 701 Laurel St.

  1. The recruitment firm and Rojas are making out like bandits… and it is our fault for electing those responsible for mediocre new hires.
