Mr. Todd, who had been released on his own recognizance, was taken into custody following a Jan. 3 hearing at which a San Mateo County Superior Court judge sentenced him to three years and eight months in state prison, with credit for three days served. He also owes the state $350 in restitution and fines.
He was arrested on Dec. 19, 2012, for reportedly fondling a 9-year-old student during a private lesson, police said. He had taught at Kim's Tae Kwon Do Academy in Woodside Plaza for 12 years.
When police searched his home, they said they found child pornography on his computer, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.
Mr. Todd will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life once he completes the prison term.
