 | Cedric Lussier, at right in the photo, was 20 years old in 1944, but had already earned a reputation for bravery as an Army Air Corps pilot in World War II.
When he returned home to Menlo Park, he had completed 92 missions in his P-47 and won numerous medals, including the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
Mr. Lussier later became a longtime member of the Circus Club in Atherton and helped compile a book published by the club in 2004 about its members' experiences in World War II.
