 | Corrective hydrotherapy was used for the treatment of soldiers suffering from manic depression and other psychotic ailments at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Menlo Park as late as the 1940s.
The procedure gave way to the use of drug and electric shock therapy to treat mental illness.
