Menlo College women honored by Cal Pac Conference

Menlo College sophomore Courtney Calicdan had 35 kills and 17 digs in two Cal Pac Conference matches over the weekend, earning her the Cal Pacc Conference women's volleyball Player of the Week.

Calicdan also earned the same honor last week.

This time around, the Honolulu native had 35 kills and 17 digs in a 2-0 weekend for the Oaks.

The Oaks won 3-0 over NCAA Division III Mills College in Atherton on Friday and won 3-0 over UC Merced on Saturday in Atherton.

As of Saturday, Calicdan was fourth in the conference in points per set (3.17) and kills per set (3.17) and sixth in digs per set (3.67).

Menlo College has two Cal Pac Conference matches this week as they take on Simpson University on Thursday in Redding. The Oaks take on William Jessup University in Rocklin on Friday.


Women's soccer
Kayla Cisneroz was named Cal Pac Conference women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Cisneroz scored a goal offensively and was part of a defensive line that allowed two goals in their lone match last week. The Oaks went 0-1 in California Pacific Conference play this past week, as they lost 2-1 to UC Merced in Atherton on Wednesday.

Menlo has one California Pacific Conference match this week. The Oaks will take on William Jessup University in Atherton on Saturday.
