Menlo traffic delayed at Santa Cruz & El Camino
Travel slowed for next 24 to 36 hours

Bookmark and Share
Drivers traveling along El Camino Real and Santa Cruz Avenue should plan for delays during the next 24 to 36 hours, according to the Menlo Park police department.

A Caltrans contractor apparently cut the electrical lines at the intersection on Monday, leading to malfunctioning traffic signals, police said.

A crew is working on repairs.

People who think that electrifying the trains is the panacea for all traffic woes, take note!

Just having spent an extra 15 minutes getting through the mess, one should realize that this will become the norm as the inept council and planning commission continue to build more, build denser and and build higher. El Camino through Menlo Park is destined to be like 19th Ave in the City.

Actually, I prefer 19th Avenue as it moves better!
