Train breaks down in Menlo Park

Caltrain southbound train No. 258 broke down in Menlo Park around 4:20 p.m. Monday, blocking traffic on Ravenswood Avenue, and causing train delays in both directions.

Police directed traffic off of Ravenswood.

The stalled train was coupled to train No. 360, which left Menlo Park shortly after 6 p.m., Caltrain reported.

One of the big reasons that commuters are calling for electrifying Caltrain is more reliable trains. Why is this taking so long?
