Pet of the week

By Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society.

Meet Gizmo, the Peninsula Humane Society's pet of the week. We know he looks wet behind the ears, but he's anything but.

At 5 years-old, he's wise and experienced, but still a pup at heart with tons of energy. He's tiny -- just 6 1/2 pounds -- and won't get any bigger as long as his adopter keeps him active and doesn't spoil him with too many treats.

Our best breed experts believe Gizmo is a Chihuahua/Papillon mix; we like to call that special breed a Chapillon.

To meet Gizmo, visit our Center for Compassion adoption center at 1450 Rollins Rd. in Burlingame or visit us online at www.PHS-SPCA.org.
