Pet of the week

By Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society

Ring in the New Year with our bundle of Joy, a 17-lb, 1 ˝ year old female Lhasa Apso, available at the Peninsula Humane Society's Center for Compassion.

This active girl loves a game a fetch, anytime. She also loves learning -- especially when treats are involved -- and may be the star of her mandatory training class.

Joy prefers people, toys and treats to other dogs and does not share well with others; if you already have a dog, he'll need to be cool with that.

We believe Joy will do best with an experienced owner in a bustling home with a yard and no small children. If you need Joy in your life, visit our center at 1450 Rollins Road in Burlingame or visit us online at www.PHS-SPCA.org.
