Pet of the week

By Scott Delucchi, Peninsula Humane Society

Santa baby, she's been nice -- we swear!

Meet Bella, a sweet female pit bull available for adoption at the Peninsula Humane Society's Center for Compassion in Burlingame.

If Bella were to re-word lyrics to "My Favorite Things," they would include affection from people. To her, this is better than toys and food, though she adores toys and will fetch as long as you toss.

For this reason, we see her in a home with a yard. She's incredibly friendly, strong, with boundless energy, so active, and physically strong owners with breed experience are on her Christmas list.

She gets along with male dogs but should meet first to be sure, and can live with some children, so please talk with an adoption counselor. Her adoption requires mandatory training. She's ready to be your gift and add joy to your life.

Please visit our Center of Compassion at 1450 Rollins Rd. to see why our new Burlingame home is the cat's pajamas. www.phs-spca.org/.

What a gorgeous girl! I hope that she gets a wonderful home and can settle in for the holidays.
