Wednesday: DeGolia to be sworn in as Atherton's new council member

Rick DeGolia will be sworn into office as the Atherton City Council's newest member at a special council meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The meeting begins at 4 p.m. at will be followed by a reception.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place in the Council Chambers at 94 Ashfield Road, in the Town Center.

Mr. DeGolia won the one-year council seat in a three-way race last month, garnering 62 percent of the vote. He replaces Jerry Carlson, who resigned in July.

At its regular Dec. 18 meeting, the council will choose a new mayor and vice mayor.
