The long-standing question of human-machine interaction and how it will evolve is the topic for a panel discussion and forum starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at SRI International at 333 Ravenswood Ave. in Menlo Park.
Speakers are Bill Mark, vice president of information and computing sciences at SRI, and Andy Wilson, a principal researcher at Microsoft. The moderator is James Temple, a technology columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with a buffet at 6. Tickets are $49 for members of SRI's Churchill Club, and $74 for non-members when tickets are purchased online, and $65 and $90 at the door.
