The band Dutch Uncle will perform American rock and blues from the 1960s through the 1980s at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, on the lawn at the Portola Valley Town Center, 765 Portola Road. This is the third of four free summer concerts in Portola Valley.
The band plays with "superb mastery of great songs from the Doobie Brothers to the Eagles, America, Beatles, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton," says concert spokesperson, voice artist and Portola Valley resident Paige Bishop.
The concert includes an hour of overlap with the Thursday afternoon farmers' market across the way, and with the 5 p.m. arrival of the food trucks Hill Country BBQ and Mama's Empanadas. An art walk also begins at 5 p.m.
Picnic and food and alcohol are permitted, and blankets, chairs and warm jackets are recommended.
