Auditions

El Camino Youth Symphony Auditions
ECYS is holding new member auditions for the 2014-15 season. ECYS offers six different orchestras as well as opportunities in chamber music for musicians of all levels. Interested applicants, ages 6-18, with at least one year of private lessons are encouraged to apply. Auditions in March/April 2014. $25 audition fee. To be determined, To be determined, Palo Alto.

Jim Dine and Claes Oldenburg Exhibit

Young Meditator Night
The Young Meditators are a group of people in their 20s and 30s who meet weekly to develop their personal practice and explore how they can use it to build good human relationships and communities. Time is allowed for sitting meditation and discussion. Every Tuesday, through April 29, 7:30 p.m. Free (donations accepted). Beginning Clothing Construction Class
Learn a new skill or update sewing skills with professional sewing teachers in this Canada College Fashion Department class. Class participants will work with knits and wovens to create a variety of garments. Open to all skill levels. Jan. 14-May 20, Tuesdays, 9 a.m.-noon. $138 and up. Marine Science Camp
The Marine Science Institute is hosting a camp that offers hands-on activities, live animals and educational field trips including a day aboard the Marine Science Institute research vessel.
