Auditions

El Camino Youth Symphony Auditions
ECYS is holding new member auditions for the 2014-15 season. ECYS offers six different orchestras as well as opportunities in chamber music for musicians of all levels. Interested applicants, ages 6-18, with at least one year of private lessons are encouraged to apply. Auditions in March/April 2014. $25 audition fee. To be determined, To be determined, Palo Alto.

'The Honest Landscape': Photographs by Peter Henry Emerson
Peter Henry Emerson began taking photographs in 1882 in England and soon became an outspoken advocate for fine art photography. This installation presents a selection of Emerson's platinum prints and photogravures featuring the English and Irish countryside. 'Royal Image: Portraits, Satires, and Life at Court'
The 16 prints and drawings featured in this installation demonstrate how artists depicted European royalty and courtly culture between the 15th and 18th centuries. Support Groups

EDRC Support Group
This group is designed to offer support and local resources to family and friends who have a loved one suffering from an eating disorder. Groups are open/drop-in and confidential. Marine Science Camp
The Marine Science Institute is hosting a camp that offers hands-on activities, live animals and educational field trips including a day aboard the Marine Science Institute research vessel. Week-long camps run from June 16ľAug. 15; each day starts at 10 a.m. Registration opens Feb. 1. Starting at $375. Marine Science Institute, 500 Discovery Parkway, Redwood City.

Improvements to Household Hazardous Waste Station
There have been new upgrades made to the Household Hazardous Waste Station. Safely dispose of unwanted or unused toxic household items. New hours: every Saturday 9-11 a.m. and first Friday of the month, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Limitations: must be Palo Alto resident (license or registration). Please visit the website for more information. Social Ballroom Dancing
Social ballroom dancing takes place every Friday and Saturday throuhgout the year at Cubberley Pavilion, starting at 8 p.m. with a lesson followed by general dancing.
